Limited funding may be available to support Troop 373 Scouts in need of additional financial support to defray the costs of sleepaway summer camp and other Scouting activities.
Troop 373 also welcomes financial contributions from families who are willing and able to contribute financial support to this fund.
The Primary Purposes and Goals of the Troop 373 Campership Fund are to:
Help Troop 373 families in need of financial support to defray a portion or all the cost of Scouting America sleepaway summer camp on a case-by-case basis. While the primary goal is to support summer camp expenses, secondarily, other Scouting activity costs may be supported if sufficient funding exists.
Raise additional funding from families that are willing and able to provide financial support.

Guiding Principle for this limited resource: It is intended that receipt of financial support should be the difference maker between whether or not a Scout can attend Scouting America summer camp
This is a limited resource Troop 373 is very proud to make available if funding allows. Those submitting requests are encouraged to view this fund as the very last possible funding source in the event they find themselves unable to support the cost in its entirety. If support is needed to cover only a portion of the costs of summer camp or the activity, you are encouraged to request just the amount needed.
Likewise, Troop 373 requests that any potential applicant exercise consideration in choosing when to request this support. If you can cover summer camp costs without potential support from this fund, you are encouraged to withhold submission of any request for support.
Request Eligibility, Submission, and Privacy
Eligibility: Any family with a registered Troop 373 Scout may request assistance.
Submission: An email must be sent to Troop373Info@gmail.com. This email address is accessed only by the Pack 373 Treasurer and/or Committee Chair.
Privacy: Privacy is important. Discussion of requests will be limited to the Treasurer, Committee Chair, and select Committee members if needed.
Interested families will be directed to provide the following information via email:
Scout name and parent name(s)
Contact email(s)
Activity for which support is needed
Amount of financial support needed
Very brief 1-2 sentence summary of why support is needed: Documentation of need or financial substantiation is neither required nor expected. Please briefly discuss why support is needed (unexpected circumstances, a recent change, etc.). One or two sentences is sufficient.
Decisions regarding amounts of financial support will be expected to be made no sooner than one (1) month before the date that final payments from families are due: This time is needed to allow the Troop 373 Committee to assess total demand and the amount of funding that will be available.
Maximum amount of support provided per Scout: The lesser of the stated financial need and up to, but not exceeding, the full cost of one week of summer camp or cost of the specific activity. If multiple requests are received and need exceeds supply, meeting attendance can be used to prioritize the amount of funding provided to each beneficiary family.
